Introduction

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the most effective and successful fertility treatments available today. It has helped millions of couples in India and around the world become parents when other methods have not worked. IVF involves combining eggs and sperm outside the body in a controlled lab environment, then transferring the highest-quality embryo into the uterus. At Dr. Noopur’s clinic, we provide ethical, science-based, and caring IVF care customized for each couple’s unique needs.

The Process

The IVF process starts with a detailed consultation and fertility assessment, which includes blood tests, ultrasounds, and semen analysis. Once we decide that IVF is the appropriate treatment, the woman begins ovarian stimulation. This phase lasts 10 to 12 days, during which she receives daily hormone injections to help her ovaries produce multiple eggs.

When the follicles are mature, we perform egg retrieval under mild anesthesia. At the same time, we collect a semen sample. The eggs and sperm are then fertilized in the lab, either through conventional IVF or ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), based on the specific situation.

Over the next 3 to 5 days, the embryos develop in our advanced embryology lab. We select the best-quality embryo for transfer, which is a simple and painless procedure done in the clinic. Any extra embryos can be frozen for future use.

A pregnancy test is conducted 14 days later. If the result is positive, we start monitoring and caring for the early pregnancy.
